I have been inspired to translate the message of the book Water for chocolate by Laura Esquivel into a user experience. I realized that story uses food to express love. As there is a strong sense of foodie culture, I see the opportunity to create an app to connect friends through a potluck offering recipes and calendars to organize a perfect potluck event anytime and anywhere.
Easy Steps To Invite Friends And Confirm The Potluck
A few steps are needed to set up the potluck and confirm the friends who will come. A wide selection of recipes inspires everyone what to bring and what to buy for the potluck.
At a first glance
The app will offer friends and family recipes several suggestions so that no recipe will be repeated at the potluck. The page provides photos and a summary that can help users to quickly decide if this is a dish for them at a first glance. The invited potluck guest selects a recipe they will make and bring to the potluck. 
Reminder To Create Memories
On the day of the potluck, everyone will be notified to share pictures and share some memories.
A Product Personalized For You
Based on your own past organized potlucks with your family and friends, the app will be able to customize your personal food and dish preferences. The App will also collect your memorable pictures of the potluck each time in a special collection.
